As a Tenancy Support Worker you’ll make a real difference to the lives of other people as you work with people to develop their personal, flexible and person centered tenancy support plans so that they can live their life to its fullest potential, as independently as possible and in their own home. We know you’re passionate about people and in this role you’ll support them to take control, improve their quality of life and face the future with confidence. A key focus of the project is supporting people at imminent risk of losing their accommodation to take the necessary steps to prevent homelessness.
So come and join our team as a Tenancy Support Worker in our Supporting People funded Carmarthenshire Floating Support Service which is based from our Ammanford office and will provide a service to people in Hendy, Llannon, Pen-y-groes, Saron and Tycroes. This is an exciting role where no two days are the same, you will engage with our service users by providing individually tailored tenancy related support, building their resilience and enabling them to make informed choices about their future.
You’ll need previous relevant experience of using a person centred approach, ideally in a tenancy related support capacity, and experience of working with vulnerable people with a good understanding of the needs of our service users. You must be capable of prioritising your own workload and using your initiative as an effective team player, you will possess good communication skills, a flexible approach, a positive attitude and be able to adapt in a changeable environment. An enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check is a requirement as well as a driving licence and access to a vehicle. We offer excellent terms and conditions and comprehensive training. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
