Access Wales is seeking a flexible Administrator/PA to support and enable our Chief Executive to fulfil her work with regards to our Cardigan Project.

The role will be for 8-10 hours per week on a self employed basis (you will be responsible for declaring your own income for tax and there are no paid holidays or sick pay arrangements).  Payment would be on receipt of your invoice each month, at a rate of £10.00 per hour (up to a maximum of 160 hours over 4 months).

Our CEO is registered blind and needs support with a range of office tasks including using the computer to write letters and emails, filing and organising, attending appointments and taking and writing up meeting notes etc.

You would also need to be able to provide your own vehicle, insured for business use and be willing to use this to take our CEO to external meetings as required (mileage expenses will be paid at 45p per mile from the office near Pensarn, Carmarthen).

Flexibility over hours worked would be necessary and agreed between yourself and the CEO on a weekly basis.  The position would be for 4 months in the first instance but may continue for longer subject to funding being secured.

Essential

  • Ability to take meeting notes and transfer to computer.
  • Excellent organisational skills, setting up and maintaining filing systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to be flexible over days and hours of work
  • Sympathetic to people with Disabilities.
  • Access to a car insured for business use.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working as an administrator/PA
  • Ability to speak Welsh
