Posted on Monday, July 5, 2010
The Department of Adult Continuing Education’s (DACE) unique part-time BA (Honours) Humanities degree is celebrating its 20th anniversary on campus and in the community.
Degrees in Humanities, English or History can be studied at Swansea University campus and at many community venues in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire from September.
Students choose 2 subjects from English Literature, History, Psychology, Sociology, Environmental Studies, Philosophy, Counselling and many more. They study each subject during the day and/or evening for 2 hours. The programme is delivered through traditional face-to-face methods as well as via video-conferencing.
Prospective students do not usually need formal qualifications and many are eligible for full or partial financial support to cover course fees, travel, books and childcare. For some, the course can be free. A range of study skills support is available to students before and during their studies. Educational and careers guidance is offered to all students by our guidance team.
We are holding a series of information events throughout July and August for prospective students to find out more information and meet the team – please visit www.swansea.ac.uk/dace for more information or telephone 01792 295499/295935 or email parttimedegree@swansea.ac.uk.
