Needle Exchange Services Poster 

Dyfed

Adults Service – DDAS (Dyfed Drug and Alcohol Service) and Cyfle Cymru continue to provide support to those seeking it from the service. However, all support, referrals and assessments are being done so via the phone. Bases that operate a needle exchange remain open to fulfil this provision, however our opening times have slightly changed. We are now providing a needle exchange service between the hours of 10 – 3pm (Monday to Friday). We are asking anyone who is showing any signs and symptoms associated to the coronavirus to follow government guidance and stay at home and not attend the service. The DDAS bases that provide a needle exchange service are as follows (all other DDAS bases are now closed until further notice):

  • Llanelli – 1-3 Vaughan Street, Llanelli, SA15 3TY  – 01554 705710
  • Aberystwyth – 25 North Parade, Aberystwyth, SY23 2JN  – 01970 626 470

People are still able to self-refer to the service via the single point of contact number 03303 639 997 or email confidential@d-das.co.uk.

Young Persons Service – Choices continue to provide support however all of this will be done via the phone. The same applies to referrals and assessments. All bases are now closed until further notice. All other activities are now suspended. People are still able to self-refer or be referred via the single point of contact number 01554 755779.

Swansea

Adults Service – Barod (Swansea) and Cyfle Cymru continue to provide support to those seeking it from the service. However, all support, referrals and assessments are being done so via the phone. The Swansea base continues to operate a needle exchange provision, however our opening times have slightly changed. We are now providing a needle exchange service between the hours of 10 – 3pm (Monday to Friday). We are asking anyone who is showing any signs and symptoms associated to the coronavirus to follow government guidance and stay at home and not attend the service.

People are still able to self-refer to the service via AADAS on 01792 530719 whether they live in Swansea, Neath or Port Talbot.

However, all support, referrals and assessments are being done so via the phone. The Choices base within Info-Nation is now closed until further notice. All other activities are now suspended. People are still able to self-refer or be referred via the single point of contact number 01792 472002.
