Language Awareness discussion at the Eisteddfod 02/08/10

A discussion about the importance of language awareness, National Eisteddfod, Blaenau Gwent and the Heads of the Valleys.
If you’re on the Eisteddfod maes on Monday, 2 August 2010 we’d like to invite you to a discussion about the importance of language awareness in health and social care services.
WHAT?
This is an opportunity to hear presentations, readings and DVD clips as well as a discussion among a panel of experts, chaired by presenter and journalist, Beti George. The session will consider the current situation of the Welsh language in health and social care, and consider what needs to develop for the future. There will also be stories and accounts of personal experiences from individuals and an opportunity for you to hear the panel’s response to these.

WHERE?
The session will be held in the Societies Tent 2 at 11am on Monday, 2 August and has been arranged by the NHS Language Unit and the Care Council for Wales. Simultaneous translation will be available.
