Brecon Beacons National Park Local Access Forum
The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority is currently advertising for suitable persons to apply for membership of the Brecon Beacons Local Access Forum (LAF), to cover the whole of the National Park area. We will appoint between 12 and 22 members to the LAF. The role of the Local Access Forum is to advise on the improvement of public access to land in the area for the purpose of open-air recreation and enjoyment of the area. The closing dates for applications is 21st October 2017 and we anticipate that the first meeting of the LAF will be at 2.00 pm on 16th November 2017.
The National Park Authority is very keen to achieve a balanced membership of individuals who hold a variety of interests and/or expertise in the local area. I am writing, therefore, to request that you bring this information to the attention of your members or associates and invite individuals with relevant experience to apply for membership of the Forum. We would be happy to send out additional application forms if required.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals that have experience of disability issues.
I must emphasise that applicants will be appointed on their particular merits as an individual and not as a representative of a particular organisation and this invitation should not be interpreted as an offer of a place on the Forum.
Application forms or further details can be found on the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority website or by contacting Richard Ball or Lisa Lloyd directly.
