Tender: Bridges into Work

Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council wishes to commission the Construction Programme element of the Welsh European Funding Office, Convergence Project called Bridges into Work.
The project aims to engage, support and prepare economically inactive participants, including those that are unemployed or on incapacity benefit, in the most deprived areas, to acquire the appropriate skills to become job ready, and able to progress onto further learning or sustainable employment.
It is envisaged that the Construction Programme will allow participants to access a specific vocational training sector that will enhance their chances of securing employment within the industry.
A key requirement will be to demonstrate and provide match funding for the project.
The Tenderer is required to submit a completed Contract Particulars section in respect of each or one of the two Lots, being:
Lot 1 £193,482 (£96,741 Grant + £96,741 Match) awarded to 1 Company
Lot 2 £96,741 (£48,370.50 Grant + £48,370.50 Match) awarded to 2 Companies
Contracts to establish the Bridges into Work Construction Programme may be awarded in relation to Lot 1 OR Lot 2.
The contract duration is 25 months with the option to extend for up to 12 months.
