Posted on Tuesday, June 22, 2010
Closing Date: 23 July 2010
The Bridges into Work project is intended to address economic inactivity across six local authorities in the European Social Fund Convergence areas across South Wales. Through a collaborative approach, the project aims to engage, support and prepare economically inactive participants, including those that are unemployed or on incapacity benefit, in the most deprived areas, to acquire the appropriate skills to become job ready, and able to progress onto further learning or sustainable employment. The project will engage in building confidence and provide training for those furthest from the job market, to overcome skills deficits and become economically active.
LOT 1
The Health Support Programme will form one part of the overall Bridges into Work project within the borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff. It is envisaged that the Health Support Programme will allow participants to access a variety of depression busting, confidence and motivational building training courses that will enhance their chances of progressing within the Bridges into Work project onto vocational training and securing employment.
LOT 2
The Pre Employment Programme element will allow participants to access a specific vocational training sector that will enhance their chances of securing employment within the industry.
