Campaign to End Loneliness
Let’s end loneliness
The Campaign to End Loneliness works to tackle loneliness in older age. Later this year, we will be launching a major UK public campaign to inspire millions of people to take action on loneliness. We need your help to make this a success.
On 21st February we are holding a campaign workshop in Carmarthen. These workshops will explore loneliness and help us to develop the next phase of our public campaign following the huge success of The Loneliness Project, the first phase of our public campaign, which has been viewed over 60 million times around the world.
About the Workshops
The workshops will be open, lively, interesting and include a free lunch. We want these workshops to be an opportunity to share your thoughts on what it’s like to be older today and living in West Wales, or what it’s like to live with and/or support older people. We want insights on retirement, interaction, bereavement, and experiences of connection and loneliness. We want to ensure that our future campaigns resonate with the communities we are working with in Wales.
These workshops are an important opportunity to make sure our future work resonates with older people who experience loneliness and those members of our communities who can change their lives through taking action. There are no better advocates for experience than the people themselves. Places are limited, so we will prioritise these two groups. We are interested in experts and charities working towards ending loneliness and will ensure there are additional opportunities to shape our work.
This workshop will take place at a central and accessible location in Carmarthen on the 21st February. As we are a charity we have limited funds available. If you are able to fund your own travel and expenses, we’d appreciate it. If the cost of getting to the workshop is a barrier, please get in touch and we can arrange for expenses to be paid.
The workshops will run from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Arrive from 10:30 for tea and coffee.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
