Carers’ Rights Day 2009 4/12/09

Carmarthenshire Carers Alliance is hosting informal Carers’ Rights Training Events for Carers with Carolyn Goodall, Head of Morgans Solicitors Training Department to mark this year’s Carers’ Rights Day.
Friday 4th December at Parc Y Scarlets, Llanelli
If you are caring for someone and would like to join us, or would like more information, please contact the Carers Service for a booking form. Events will be held between 10.00am-3pm and a free buffet lunch will be provided. Places are limited so please book early.
The aims of Carers’ Rights Day are to:
- Increase the take up of benefits
- Ensure that carers access their rights under relevant legislation
- Raise awareness of the needs of carers
- Help individuals recognise themselves as carers
- Increase older carers take-up of Pension Credit.
The Carers Alliance also welcomes the day as an opportunity to let carers know what support is already available in Carmarthenshire; to look at service developments; to ask carers what they think of the services they are receiving and ask what else they think should be available.

Mae Cynghrair Cynhalwyr Sir Gerfyrddin yn cynnal Digwyddiad Hyfforddiant annfurfiol i Gynhalwyr gan Carolyn Goodall, Pennaeth Adran Hyfforddiant Cyfreithwyr Morgans.
Dydd Gwener 4ydd o Ragfyr ym Mharc Y Scarlets, Llanelli
Os ydych yn gofalu am rywun a hoffech ymuno â ni, neu os am fwy o wybodaeth, cysylltwch â’r Gwasanaeth Cynhalwyr i gael ffurflen archebu lle. Cynhelir y digwyddiadau rhwng 10.00yb-3.00yh. Darperir bwffe am ddim i ginio. Mae lleoedd yn brin felly archebwch yn gynnar.
Nodau Diwrnod Hawliau Cynhalwyr yw:
- Cynyddu’r nifer o bobl sy’n hawlio budd-daliadau
- Sicrhau fod cynhalwyr yn defnyddio’u hawliau yn unol â’r ddeddfwriaeth berthnasol
- Creu ymwybyddiaeth o anghenion cynhalwyr
- Helpu unigolion i adnabod eu hunain fel cynhalwyr
- Cynyddu’r nifer o gynhalwyr hŷn sy’n hawlio Credyd Pensiwn
Hefyd, mae’r Cynghrair Cynhalwyr yn croesawu’r diwrnod fel cyfle i hysbysu cynhalwyr o’r gefnogaeth sydd ar gael yn Sir Gâr; i edrych ar ddatblygiadau yn y gwasanaeth; i holi cynhalwyr am eu barn am y gwasanaethau a beth arall ddylai fod ar gael, yn eu tyb nhw.
