What we do
Carmarthenshire Carers Service is affiliated with Carers Wales, and produces and distributes carers information, signposts people who are caring to sources of help and support through a telephone service, and facilitates the Carmarthenshire Carers Forum. It is through the Carers Forum that carers are encouraged to participate in the planning, development and review of services. The forum meet on a quarterly basis. The Carers Service also facilitates the Carers Support Services Network (CSSN), a provider forum of organisations working to improve the lives of carers.
The Carers Service works closely with the Joint Carers Development Officer.
Carmarthenshire Carers Support Services Network
The Carers Service facilitates the Carmarthenshire Carers Support Services Network (CSSN), a forum of voluntary groups and organisations working towards improving the lives of carers.
It works to promote the recognition of carers in Carmarthenshire, and seeks to influence the planning, commissioning and development of services for carers.
We meet at least four times a year for regular business and host an annual Carers’ Rights Day event and hold events during Carers Week.
