A network member of Carers Trust, the UK’s leading charity for carers, we work to improve the lives of carers in Carmarthenshire who look after relatives, friends or neighbours who are ill, frail, disabled or have mental health issues. We provide a range of support services including quality assured replacement care provision to enable carers to have short breaks and time for themselves.
About the role
Carers Trust Carmarthenshire are recruiting for Carer Support Workers to provide care and support for individuals in their own homes and in their local community. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals who would like to help make a difference to other people in their community.
You should have a positive attitude and a willingness to develop your skills within the Carer Support Worker role. Good interpersonal, verbal communication and written skills are essential as you will be dealing with a variety of age groups, disabilities and social and ethnic backgrounds.
Hourly rate ranges from £7.80 to £10.30 per hour depending on qualifications and the hours worked, plus mileage. Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as we provide a full induction programme, training and shadowing.
We require all applicants to offer a minimum of 16 hours availability a week and you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.
