The Healthy Communities Programme makes grants of £5,000 – £10,000 to small community and voluntary organisations to support an improvement in health and well-being in their local communities.

The programme’s extension will ensure Second World War veterans who are yet to take advantage of the funding will have more time to apply for grants to cover travel and accommodation expenses and enables them to make trips throughout 2011 back to places across the world where they served. They can also receive funding to take part in an official commemoration in the UK.

Organisations across Wales are being given a new opportunity to access funding from WCVA’s Engagement Gateway project. To become eligible for Gateway contracts of between £25,000 and £150,000, organisations can join the project’s approved supplier list by submitting a pre qualification questionnaire (PQQ) by 2pm on 24 January 2011.
