Celtic Media Festival – Volunteers needed 2 – 4 May 2018

An exciting opportunity has come about to support on the large Celtic Media Festival taking part in Llanelli on the 2nd to 4th of May 2018. Please see the opportunities below and some details of what they entail. If you have any interest in volunteering please could you register at the following link- http://www.celticmediafestival.co.uk/volunteer  or ring 01554 742633.

1. Reception Welcome Hosts
Each person attending the festival is required to register at the reception desk where they will be provided with information and advice on what the festival has to offer. Volunteers will need to check tickets and note which individuals and speakers have arrived. They will also need to assist with making sure all bus and taxi pick-ups and drop-offs run smoothly.

2. Session Runners
There are several sessions running throughout the festival within the programme of events for our delegates. Volunteers will be required to provide support to the tech staff where necessary and help the hosts of the sessions with any requirements they may have.

3. Awards Runners
Celtic Media Festival includes awards for screen, radio and digital media; the awards ceremonies throughout the festival are attended by industry professionals, and need to run smoothly. Runners will be required to support the setting up of the stage for the presenters, ensuring everything is in order before the awards get started. Runners will then need to be on hand throughout the ceremony to support with press and the smooth running of the winners coming on and off stage.

4. Evening Event Hosts
There will also be events running in different locations throughout Llanelli and volunteers may be required for this also. Volunteers would be required to welcome those attending and support the festival staff in the smooth running of the event. Volunteers for these events should be 18 and over.
