DDAS Interventions Worker – Carmarthenshire

Location:      Llanelli. Covering all areas of Carmarthenshire (particularly Carmarthen and Ammanford) and occasional travel across Dyfed will be expected.

Type:             Full time

Hours:          37 hours per week. Evening and weekend work will be required and therefore candidates are required to be flexible.

Salary:          £21,917 – £24.906.60 per annum

Start:             TBC

Duration:      Permanent, in line with funding. Current funding has been granted until 31st March 2020.

Barod’s DDAS Adult Drugs and Alcohol Service is seeking to recruit an Interventions Worker, who will work mainly within the Time Limited Treatment element of DDAS. They will deliver a range of structured and time limited psychosocial therapies to service users engaged with the service, Including:

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET)
  • Social Behaviour and Network Therapy (SNBT)
  • Structured Relapse Prevention (SRP)
  • Behavioural Self Control Training (BSCT)
  • Parents and Carers Training (PACT)

Therapeutic activity within the service will be underpinned by the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA); giving a framework and tools that other structured interventions will be delivered within.

The post-holder is charged with delivering quality services to substance misusing service users and concerned others, ensuring that high professional standards are maintained, output targets achieved, and that the service works within established administrative and reporting procedures.
