DDAS Team Leader – Carmarthenshire

Location:      Llanelli, covering Carmarthenshire

Type:             Full-time

Hours:           37 hours per week. Flexible working needed to cover evenings and weekends.

Salary:           NJC scale pt 27 – 34, £24,174 – £30,153 per annum

Start:             TBC

Duration:      Permanent, in line with funding. Current funding has been granted until 31st March 2018, with a possible extension of circ. 2 years.

Drugaid’s DDAS Adult Drugs and Alcohol Service is looking for a Team Leader to provide day to day operational guidance to all staff working within the non-criminal justice side of the DDAS substance misuse service in Carmarthenshire. This post holder will work closely alongside the Criminal Justice Team Leader for Dyfed in integrating the generic and criminal justice service provision. The team leader will also work alongside the Lead Data Officer for Dyfed to ensure high data quality and the meeting of our Key Performance Indicators. The team leader will ensure that the Ceredigion team deliver high quality engagement, time limited treatment and recovery services and interventions to service users. The post holder will provide line management and supervision directly to recovery workers, intervention workers and engagement workers. The post holder will also work closely with our Outreach and New Psychoactive Substances Team Leader for Dyfed driving forward our engagement services. The post holder may be expected to have a small caseload of complex cases as and when required. The purpose of the role is to support the Carmarthenshire team in the day to day delivery of the service.

The post-holder will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating and directly delivering a full range of interventions to individuals involved with DDAS in their locality. As a team leader, you will lead on developing effective relationships with external partners in your locality, whilst also working closely with colleagues delivering criminal justice elements of DDAS.

The post-holder will ensure that quality services are delivered to substance misusing service users, ensuring that high professional standards are maintained, output targets achieved, and that the service works within established administrative and reporting procedures.
