DDAS Recovery Worker – Carmarthenshire
Location: Llanelli. Covering all areas of Carmarthenshire and on occasion travel to other areas of Dyfed will be expected.
Hours: 15 hours per week, to be worked over 2 full days. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends will be required to meet service need
Salary: £21,917 – £24.906.60 pro rata
Duration: Permanent, in line with funding. Current funding has been granted until 31st March 2020.
Barod’s DDAS Adult Drugs and Alcohol Service is seeking to recruit a Recovery Worker, who will work mainly in the Recovery Service element of DDAS. The post holder will identify individuals who may need further support post-treatment with DDAS and external substance misuse service providers. The post-holder will also devise a package of aftercare support with the service user. This will be agreed and written into an aftercare plan prior to the individual ending treatment or support services and will last for an optimum period of 9 months. The post holder will be charged with delivering quality services to substance misusing service users and concerned others, ensuring that high professional standards are maintained, output targets achieved, volunteers receive appropriate direction, are supervised and appraised and that the service works within established administrative and reporting procedures.
