
DDAS Recovery Worker – Carmarthenshire
Location: Llanelli, covering Carmarthenshire and occasional travel to Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire will be expected.
Type: Part-time
Hours: 22.5 hours per week. Wednesday (08:30 – 17:00), Thursday (09:00 – 17:00) and Friday (09:00 – 16:30). Weekend and evening work will be expected on a rota basis and around service users and delivery needs.
Salary: £22,137 – £25,156 pro rata
Start: TBC
Duration: Permanent, in line with funding. Current funding has been granted until May 2022.
Barod’s DDAS Adult Drugs and Alcohol Service is seeking to recruit a Recovery Worker to join the team in Carmarthenshire. The post holder will be responsible for delivering evidence-based and manualised programmes of therapeutic support to prevent relapse in group-work settings and on a one-to-one basis (normally for up to a period of 9 months). The post holder will also be responsible for promoting the Recovery Agenda and encourage peer-to-peer support. The post holder will deliver a fortnightly mutual aid group for service users and concerned others. The post holder will also staff the Single Point of Contact on a rota basis.
