DDAS Substance Misuse Friends and Family Worker – Carmarthenshire

Location:      Llanelli, but covering outreach posts across Carmarthenshire.

Type:             Part-time

Hours:           22.5 hours per week. Working days can be negotiated. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Salary:          Starting point £21,917 pro rata

Start:             TBC

Duration:      Fixed term contract until 31st March 2020 with funding to be reviewed in line with retendering.

Barod’s DDAS Adult Drugs and Alcohol Service is seeking to recruit a Substance Misuse Friends and Family Worker, who will be responsible for assessing, planning and delivering a range of evidence based, therapeutic family and carer interventions which are part of a planned, structured programme. The post holder will be responsible for completing initial assessments and providing crisis management. The post holder will also be responsible for providing brief interventions that consist of short-term focused work to address immediate problems and providing comprehensive assessment and care planning based on needs identified at assessment, where appropriate.
