November 25, 2021 @ 9:30am

Cost: Free

Venue: Parc y Scarlets

Carers can join us in a full and action-packed day at Parc Y Scarlets on Thursday 25th November, 9.30am – 2.45pm.

The event will give carers the opportunity to meet up with other carers in a relaxed and informal day.

Talks will focus on topics that carers are frequently asking about including:

  • An overview of ‘Carers Rights’ by Carers Wales
  • An update on Carers Support Services locally including day services and respite care and the West Wales Carers Strategy by a Carers Lead Manager from Carmarthenshire County Council
  • Money Matters – including Maximising Income, Carers Allowance and Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Or why not take time to relax in a Meditation & Mindfulness session or get creative in an Arts & Craft workshop? Or join a wellbeing workshop exploring some of the emotions, challenges, and highs and lows of being a carer and take away some tips on how to build resilience and stay positive?

We will also be hearing from some carers who will be sharing their stories with us of their personal journey as an unpaid carer and of course not forgetting the free raffle and delicious lunch in the beautiful setting of Parc Y Scarlets.

To book a place please contact the Carers Information Service on 0300 0200 002 or email us at info@ctcww.org.uk
