Free exciting opportunities for Young People

For Attention of organisations working with young people based in the counties of, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Powys and Swansea.

My name is Joanne Shackley and I am the Youth Arts Officer for Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company. We work with young people aged 11-25 years old through theatre and the Arts.

I would like to offer your organisation an opportunity from our Well Iawn project funded by the Big Lottery Fund, during which we aim to help young people (aged 11-25) improve the wellbeing of individual young people through building confidence, self-esteem, soft and hard skills and developing social skills in a safe and supportive environment.

We would like to invite your group to take part in a 2 hour Taster workshop, at your groups’ location. This will be a fun and interactive workshop for the participants, to give them a taste of what we do and to see if the young people want to take part in a future project around ‘Well Being’.

After the Taster Workshop, if your organisation and young people wants to take part in the next part of the project there is further exciting opportunity for:

A Well Iawn residency where our organisation work with your young people to improve their concerns around their and other young people’s well-being. During weekly workshops for around 6 weeks.

Be part of a more intensive project called the Well Iawn Project where the young people create a product i.e. a film, an event or magazine… Over a larger period of time.

We were hoping to book in tasters in the New Year from the 15th January onwards.
