Final REMINDER Giving Sir Gâr Grant Scheme Open 27/08/10

Voluntary groups across Carmarthenshire are invited to apply for a grant of up to £500 from our County Fund.
The money in the Fund was raised through corporate donations from local businesses and monies given to us by individual employees through company payroll giving schemes.
The fund is targeted at activities such as:
- Developing links with business
- Developing partnerships with other organisations
- Promoting the work of your group to the wider community
- Increasing the involvement of volunteers.

“Carmarthenshire’s County Fund is special because the money was raised in Carmarthenshire to directly benefit the people who live in the County,” explains Jo Fearn of Giving Sir Gâr. “Businesses really want to help local charities and community groups, but the current climate means they haven’t got enough money to help them all. The County Fund is a good way for them to give a little and know that it will go a long way.”
