‘How to Tender’ Event ~ 19/08/09

How to Tender / Meet the Buyer Event ~ 19th August 2009 ~ The Mount, Carmarthen
Focus on Health, Social Care and Housing
CAVS, in conjunction with Carmarthenshire County Council’s Social Care and Housing Department are delighted to announce that a specialist combined ‘How to tender’ and ‘meet the buyer’ event has been organised.
The event has been designed with the logic that the sector would benefit from specialist ‘how to tender’ training which is delivered by the people who actually commission the services rather than more generic training events which lack the opportunity to directly question the buyers.
The event will be held on 19th August 2009 (at The Mount, CAVS new Voluntary Action Centre) with the training being delivered jointly by:
- Neil Edwards from the Local Health Board Integrated Commissioning Team (covering health and social care) who will be able to inform the groups directly what he looks for when evaluating a tender; and by
- Alan Aitken from the Council’s procurement department who’ll be able to answer any detailed procurement queries.
The focus of the event on Health, Social Care and Housing means that third sector groups focusing on these areas will have the most to gain from the event but any group who has an interest in tendering or commissioning activity is of course free to attend the event.
