The Phone Co-op is the UK's only co-operative telecoms supplier. As a consumer co-operative it is owned by its customers, and run solely for their benefit. This means that they can offer you fully competitive line rental, phone calls & broadband. For instance their Home User Tariff is 15% cheaper than BT's Option 1 in the evenings & at weekends, 2MB Broadband starts at £18.99 while their line rental is 50p per month cheaper than BT. The Phone Co-op is also an 'ethical company'. Don?t take our word for it ~ compare all their prices with your current phone services provider and see how you could benefit.
How can my phone bill support the voluntary sector in Carmarthenshire?
CAVS is an agent with the Phone Co-op, so signing up using CAVS agent number (Agent ID 116) will pass 6% commission to CAVS, the proceeds from which will be used to support voluntary sector work in the county.
There are two ways to sign up
To enable you to benefit from using the Phone Co-op while helping CAVS, you can click on this link www.thephone.coop, or you can contact Cris Tomos at CAVS cris@cavs.org.uk or phone 01267 236367 for an application form.
Separate your volunteering calls from your home calls
If you do not wish to use The Phone Co-op for your home calls, but have been looking for a way of separating your volunteering calls from your domestic calls, you can do this by opting out of line rental and choosing not to have automated access to The Phone Co-op's services. When making a call, you dial a prefix for your voluntary work calls, and thus receive a bill for those calls from The Phone Co-op, while your home calls remain with your present supplier. It's your call!
