Our mission is to provide appropriate and timely support for those with mental ill health, their carers, and their families.
Vision
Our vision is for all people suffering mental ill health to receive the support they need to recover and live a fulfilled life. We also want to see more positive awareness of mental ill health, and for everyone to be able to recognise the signs of their own mental health needs.
Job Title: Manager
Job Purpose: To manage and supervise a service user focussed service
Salary: Full time equivalent £23,400 (Pro rata £19,447)
Probation Period: 6 months
Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible hours, some weekend and evening work)
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Post based at: Primarily Llanelli Mind, 46 Thomas Street SA15 3JA
About Llanelli Mind
Llanelli Mind have four distinct projects, the welcome centre, Befriending service, the Cluster project and the Twilight Sanctuary project.
The Welcome Centre provides a dedicated space for everyone with direct or indirect experience of mental health problems. The centre provides a range of supportive interventions in a welcoming environment. It provides an alternative venue to receive early access to help reduce loneliness and isolation.
Once assessed people can access the drop in, attend a variety of therapeutic well-being activities & groups, engage in peer support, access one to one sessions with both staff & counsellors.
The aim of the service is to support those with mental ill health, to build their confidence, self-esteem and resilience, by providing them with coping skills and mechanisms, so they can lead happier more fulfilled lives.
