[lang_en][/lang_en][lang_cy][/lang_cy]AN UPDATE ON THE LLANELLI MULTI-CULTURAL NETWORK

Welcome to the first of a new series of monthly newsletters from the Llanelli Multi-Cultural Network. In this issue we will be updating you on what has been done recently.

Since Sam Hudson left the Network as Project Worker (due to the funding running out), the Network has been managed by a committee who have endeavoured to keep up the work that Sam and started during her time as project worker. Incidentally, Sam stayed with the network as a volunteer and now serves as secretary to the committee.

One of the final things Sam did as project worker was to apply for National Lottery Funding and I am pleased to say that we have now been granted funding for three years and next month we will be recruiting two new project workers who will be managed by a steering group comprising the committee and representatives from CAVS (Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary service). So we are soon to be financially secure and can continue the growth of the Network.

In the meantime, the committee has organised a number of events and projects, which we will talk about in this newsletter.
