Making changes to elections and how we vote

The Welsh Government has published a consultation on changes it wants to make to elections and how we vote. Young Wales wants to help collect the views of children, young people, and adults that work with them.

The Wales Act (2017) will let the Welsh Government change how we hold elections in Wales. They want the opinions of children and young people to ensure that nothing important is left out.

The survey includes questions on lowering the voting age for Welsh elections, changing the ways that people vote, and changing how people register to vote.

Young Wales is collecting your views so we can give them to the Welsh Government.

If you want to have your say on the changes, please fill in our survey here:

The survey will close on the 01 October 2017.
