Media Trust community voices awards
Posted on Monday, November 30, 2009
Media Trust is always looking to celebrate the varied and inspiring ways you are using digital media to help empower disadvantaged communities. And now Community Voices has 20 x £500 awards to give away before the end of March 2010 – that’s one every week. (Unfortunately this is for England groups only.)
If you’re helping to give your community a voice through digital media they would like to hear from you, and so would many other communities seeking help.
Projects selected will be showcased on the media trust website, plus each project will receive a bursary for a place at one of their training events, and a wealth of additional communications support.
Media Trust’s Development Director, Gavin Sheppard, says “We know that there is a wealth of great digital media work already going on in the community, and these awards will help to highlight that excellence, and inspire new communities to find their voice and make it heard.”
If you would like to share your success story you can email us, outlining either in writing, video or audio, or however you feel most comfortable, the three following points:
- How have you used digital media to give a voice to a disadvantaged community?
- What impact has this had on the community?
- Could this be inspirational to other community groups?
Please also include an attachment or link to your digital media product if possible.
Your submission will be judged by a panel of Media Trust staff and one award will be assigned every week until March 2010.
