PAVO Job Vacancy – County Mental Health Development Officer
Salary £26,784 per annum – 35 hours per week
Initial Contract to 31st March 2010
Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations wishes to appoint a Senior Officer to be based in Newtown.
We seek an enthusiastic individual, to work as PAVO’s Senior Officer for Mental Health. The successful candidate will manage and take overall responsibility for the operation and strategic management of PAMH, its staff and operations, working positively to ensure that the project is an intergral part of PAVO’s service and by working in partnership with those of lived experience and the Statutory and Voluntary sectors to identify the mental health needs of people in Powys and the development of initiatives to meet those needs.
This is an exciting and challenging post, with an opportunity to promote the success of a lottery funded partnership project – DIY Futures.
The successful candidate will need to have experience of management within a health and social care setting, project development, some knowledge of mental health issues and will be a confident communicator at all levels.
