Part Time Syrian Resettlement Programme Family Support Worker
EYST Wales is an award-winning and unique, beneficiary-led voluntary organisation supporting ethnic minority young people, individuals and families across Wales. A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Family Support Worker to deliver the Orientation Service for the Syrian Resettlement Programme on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council. This service delivers an orientation and resettlement service to Syrian families resettled to Carmarthenshire under the Home Office Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme. Based in Carmarthenshire or Swansea, we are looking to recruit a Family Support Worker working 28 hours a week for a salary of £16,800 per annum (£21,000 pro rata). The successful post holder will be skilled in supporting vulnerable people, and ideally a car owner/driver, the ability to speak and understand Arabic is also desirable but not essential. We will also consider and actively encourage secondments to the post –(if applying as a secondment please ensure you have your employer’s agreement before applying). This is currently funded until March 2021 but may be renewable, subject to funding.
