Participatory Budgeting courses now available

Posted on Monday, November 30, 2009

participation-cymruParticipatory budgeting is a process where citizens can share some of the responsibility for what happens where they live, and make some real changes.

There are numerous possibilities with this method as it can be used by a wide range of organisations in different situations.

This course, delivered in collaboration with the Participatory Budgeting Unit, will provide participants with the practical knowledge and tools to run participatory budgeting exercises with their local community/service users. With an emphasis on workshops and real-life examples and good practice, this is an exciting course for any organisation interested in involving their communities in deciding their spending priorities.

If you would like further information please contact Participation Cymru on Tel: 029 2043 1725, email: participationcymru@wcva.org.uk, or visit www.participationcymru.org.uk.

Should you like to book a place on the course in Cardiff on 19 February or in Rhyl on 10 March, please complete a booking form and return it to training@wcva.org.uk. Alternatively you can book at www.wcva.org.uk/training.
