A Fine Romance - Partnership Working with the Voluntary Sector
This guide was commissioned in 2003 by Carmarthenshire's Community Planning Steering Group in recognition of the need to involve voluntary groups and organisations in all aspects of the Community Planning process, in a consistent, fair, open and effective way. It was compiled by Vicky Smith, CAVS Partnership Manager until January 2004.
The Guide is designed to be a practical tool for anybody tasked with involving voluntary organisations and groups in Community Planning in Carmarthenshire. It provides direction on where to start and what should be happening, so that all partners, in the statutory and voluntary sector, know what to expect from partnership working.
As well as explaining what the voluntary sector is, and why it is essential to involve the voluntary sector in order to achieve aims and targets in Community Planning, the Guide sets out an 'Involvement Framework' through which the different tasks or outcomes of partnership working that make up Community Planning can be understood.
