Thinking about planning a community led renewable energy project for your community or would you like to know more on such projects?
Climate Change and Co2 reduction are once more in the headlines. Furthermore, the Welsh Government has declared a climate emergency. The Welsh government is targeting 70% of its electricity consumption to come from renewable sources by 2030. However, renewable energy projects such as windfarms can be emotive issues with mixed views within local communities, therefore are community led projects one way to bring forward more developments and help meet the Government target?

Our purpose is to support communities and planning authorities to work better together in shaping places.  We work with local planning authorities to support approaches for thoughtful community engagement as part of a proactive planning process.   We work with community and town councils to see the world from their perspective and explain the planning process, their role in it and what they can achieve.
