Following on from the success of our “Moving On” conference this year, due to the participation of young people and their excellent presentations, we are currently starting to work on CCNUK Wales’ Conference which will take place March 2011. For the next conference we want to encourage young people with additional learning needs who live in Wales to be part of a team who will plan and develop our conference and take part on the day itself.

We have booked Stackpole Centre, Pembrokeshire during October half-term, Monday 25th – Friday 29th October. This will be free and there will be no charge for the young people and their support during the week in Stackpole, including transport to and from the centre.

We want to involve:

  • Young people aged 14+ from across Wales to come together to help us plan our next conference.
  • Young people who may have had/currently have the support of a transition key worker.
  • Young people who are going/gone through transition into adulthood.

We want:

  • The team to go away and work on their actions with the support of CCNUK before coming together in February 2011.
  • The team to visit the venue for the conference in North Wales in February 2011.
