Rural Volunteering

Over the next two years, thanks to Leader European Funding, our intention is to work within our rural communities to highlight the health and wellbeing, social and community value of volunteering locally.

  • We are able to assist with broadening the scope of current volunteering opportunities
    • the further development of these if required
      • and we will be offering some free training dependent on need and availability.

Towards that end we shall also be using 6 community training venues across Carmarthenshire where we will endeavour to support local people to gain ‘volunteering ready’ skills; enhancing and developing those talents highlighted as needed by organisations such as yourself.

To further support community members who are in more isolated regions we shall also be offering some outreach utilising our mobile volunteering unit.
Our aim is to build upon the work that our volunteering centre currently offers and to highlight the opportunities and benefits for organisations of registering their volunteering needs through our website: This is an exceptional community portal which, once accessed across our region as well as across Wales as a whole, we are hoping will become the first point of contact for anyone looking to volunteer.
