Shelter Cymru Conference – People and Homes: Weathering the storm 28/06/12
Sponsored by Grŵp Gwalia, Shelter Cymru’s conferences always host informative and pertinent speakers, and we’re not afraid to tackle significant issues, making the conference challenging and thought provoking.
This year, we are thrilled to have journalist Owen Jones, author of Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class, as our opening speaker to get the day off to a rousing start.
Huw Lewis AM, the Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage, will be speaking on Meeting the Housing Challenge – Government one year on and closing the day will be Jonathan Butterworth, co-ordinator of Just Fair, an organisation campaigning for economic, social and cultural rights in the UK.
The main conference will be a full day of plenary and break-out sessions at our new venue in the Swansea Marriott Hotel.
