What is Carmarthenshire Connect all about?

Carmarthenshire Connect is an exciting opportunity for community groups and individuals in Carmarthenshire’s Communities First areas to share their news, activities and interests by publishing photos, videos and audio clips on a specially created website called a blog. The good bit is that the Carmarthenshire Connect Team is here to show you how to make the most of this opportunity to benefit your group (it’s also free!)

What is a blog?

If you haven’t come across a blog before, then it’s like an online diary – a place to tell your story. The good thing about it being online is that other people can read it and you can add photos, video and audio. That makes it a great way to promote your group and its activities. So how do we take these photos and videos? We use mobile phones because many of them have built-in cameras that are easy and convenient to use. But digital cameras also work well. Don’t worry if you’ve never used a blog before – the team is here to help you.

How can we get involved?

There are different ways of getting involved and you can add as little or as much to the blog as you like. You can email the team your news for them to put up, or you can have your own account so you can blog whenever you like. What we do all depends on your group and how far you want to take it. Whatever you want to do, the Carmarthenshire Connect Team will be here to support you every step of the way.

Tell me more!

If you’re a community group in a Communities First area and would like us to show you how the blog works and what it could do for your group, give us a call on 01554 777801 or email the team at Carmarthenshire Connect
