Transitional Support Worker
(18 hours per week at £8,937 per annum)

Barod i’r Ysgol is a new 3 year collaborative project between Jig-So Children’s Centre and Home Start Ceredigion and funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

The project aims to support the child and parent in that transitional period from home to school. We are seeking two enthusiastic individuals who will be delivering groups in rural locations or in the home setting.

One worker to be based and employed by Jig-So in Cardigan (South Ceredigion)

One worker to be based and employed by Home Start in Lampeter (North Ceredigion)

Essential Requirements:

Educated to NVQ Level 3 and/or considerable experience engaging with children and families. Ability to speak Welsh to deliver the project bilingually Car driver with access to car. Level 3 in Speech and Language Support for under 5’s (ELKLAN) desirable or to undertake training.
