Lead Peer Mentor – Carmarthenshire

Location:      Llanelli, covering Carmarthenshire.

Type:             Full time

Hours:          37 hours per week.

Salary:          £22,137 – £25,156 per annum

Start:             TBC

Duration:      Fixed Term until 15th November 2021, covering maternity leave and in line with the return date of the substantive post holder.

Barod is seeking to recruit a Lead Peer Mentor to join the Cyfle Cymru, Out of Work Peer Mentoring Service in Carmarthenshire. The post holder will oversee the provision of peer led support, information, guidance, advocacy and other interventions to participants of Cyfle Cymru, based on their assessed needs, as part of a package of care and progression. The post holder will also develop and maintain robust referral pathways into the service. The post holder will support the Peer Mentors in raising awareness of the service and in meeting project outcomes. The post holder will also manage and mentor the Peer Mentors. The post holder will provide support and supervision to the Peer Mentors.

DDAS Active Treatment Worker – Carmarthenshire

Location:      Llanelli, covering Carmarthenshire. There will also be an expectation to travel to other areas of Dyfed.

Type:             Full time

Hours:          37 hours per week. Weekend and evening work will be expected on a rota basis and around service users and delivery needs.

Salary:          £22,137 – £25,156 per annum

Start:             TBC

Duration:      Fixed Term until 14th January 2022, covering maternity leave and in line with the return date of the substantive post holder.

Barod’s DDAS Adult Drugs and Alcohol Service is seeking to recruit an Active Treatment Worker to join the team in Carmarthenshire. The post holder will engage service users in Dyfed’s substance misuse treatment system.  The post holder will also deliver evidence-based and manualised brief interventions and semi-structured interventions both in group-work settings and on a one-to-one basis to substance users and concerned others. The post holder will also conduct high level assessments including risk assessments. The post holder will also deliver harm reduction initiatives including Needle and Syringe Programmes, Naloxone training, and Dried Blood Spot Testing Services. The post holder will engage service users and concerned others via open access provision. The post holder will also refer to the Single Point of Contact and staff it on a rota basis. The post holder will support referral to external Tier 3 and 4 substance misuse service providers.
