Part time – 3 days a week; Salary – NJC scale 6 (26-28)

We are a small not-for-profit social enterprise working across South Wales to support individuals experiencing neighbourhood and workplace disputes. We provide mediation services to enable people to find a win-win solution to their dispute. We also provide training in mediation and conflict resolution techniques.

We are seeking to appoint a Development Worker, to be responsible for promoting and developing the service and supporting our volunteer team.

We are looking for someone with experience of project management and volunteer management. We wish to appoint someone who is innovative and creative, who can continue and develop the growth of our service. The ideal candidate will be able to market our service effectively, and build good relationships with partners.

Applicants would need to have an Open College Network Approved Internal Verifier qualification, or to be prepared to work towards this qualification. It may be necessary for the post holder to have a Criminal Records Bureau check. The post will involve work outside of the office, and occasional evening or weekend work.

We are a friendly, close-knit team, with a flexible and supportive attitude towards our staff and volunteers. The service has bases in both the Vale of Glamorgan and Carmarthenshire.

For additional details and an application form, please contact: phone 01446 704 333, email office@vcms.org.uk, www.vcms.org.uk.

Closing date for applications: Friday, 19th February, 2010.

Interviews: Monday 1st or Tuesday 2nd March, 2010.
