Valleys Regional Park – Small Scale Project Support 16/7/10
Posted on Monday, May 17, 2010
The Valleys Heart and Soul Small Scale Project Support is part-funded by the EU’s Convergence European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Assembly Government and is administered by Capital Region Tourism on behalf of the Valleys Partnership.
The Valleys Heart and Soul project forms an integral part of a project called Valleys Regional Park (VRP) which is made up of a diverse suite of activities. The overall aim of the Valleys Regional Park project is to raise the profile of the area as a visitor destination and a prime location to live and work because of its quality environment and opportunities for outdoor recreation, heritage and environmental interpretation.
More details can be found on www.thevalleys.org.uk
The available funding is therefore accessible to projects that are based in and benefit areas within the Valleys Regional Park boundary. This includes the local authority areas of Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend (north of the M4), Neath Port Talbot (north of the M4), Swansea (north of the M4) and the Gwendraeth and Aman valleys in Carmarthenshire. A map and a list of post codes are available on www.thevalleys.org.uk.
