Carmarthenshire Volunteer Bureau's aim is to encourage the use of volunteers and to raise standards for volunteers, service providers and recipients. The service is available to all voluntary organisations in Carmarthenshire who register with the service and agree to work towards a Code of Good Practice.

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT
We provide a matching service of volunteer placements with organisations registered with the Bureau and people who wish to volunteer.
PUBLICITY - PROMOTION
We can help you to promote your services by providing:
- Information in response to enquiries
- Promoting your group through the Volunteer Bureau
- Promoting your group in community settings with the Mobile Volunteer Bureau (MVB)
- Circulating information through the Volunteer Bureau newsletter
UP TO DATE INFORMATION
The Volunteer Bureau can provide registered organisations with information on developing appropriate policies for their work with volunteers.
NETWORKING FACILITY
The Volunteer Bureau circulates a quarterly newsletter for registered organisations and hold regular CVON (Carmarthenshire Volunteer Organisers Network) meetings which provide opportunities to discuss issues relevant to your role.
LITERATURE ON GOOD PRACTICE
Reference books and information sheets are available at the Volunteer Bureau if you are looking for guidance or new ideas.
TRAINING FOR PAID WORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS
The Volunteer Bureau provides a programme of training based on your needs and requirements for both paid and un-paid workers.
