Managing Volunteers

This newly revised and updated 5-day training course is delivered regularly in line with demand . The course offers optional Agored Cymru accreditation and is valued at 6 Credits at Level Three. The training is designed for anyone whose role involves managing or co-ordinating volunteers.

Preparing to Volunteer

This course is designed for people who would like to get involved – but don’t feel quite confident enough to take that first step. The course covers skills analysis, personal development, communication and assertiveness skills as well as providing information on volunteering in the County. The course takes place over four days and can be delivered in-house for groups of six or more.

Volunteering for Employability

This new training course is currently being developed. It is planned to build on the  Preparing to Volunteer training and developing the training to include a focus the ways in which volunteering can be used to develop the skills and experience that increase employability.

Informal and Short courses

These training courses are free and for groups of 6 or more people we can come to you to do an in-house session on request.

Staying Safe – Personal Safety for Volunteers – This can be delivered as a full day session or as a two-hour taster / refresher session.

Confidentiality – Policies and Practice – This can be extended to cover Child Protection policies too. This can be run as a one day course, or as a two hour taster / refresher session. It is appropriate for both volunteers and paid workers.
