Young Persons Regional Prevention & Transitional Lead – Dyfed
Location: Regional, covering the Dyfed area.
Type: Full time
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Salary: £22,137 – £25,156 per annum
Duration: Permanent, in line with funding. Current funding has been granted until May 2022.
Barod’s Dyfed Substance Misuse Service is seeking to recruit a Young Persons Regional Prevention and Transitional Lead.
- The post holder will provide face to face therapeutic intervention and support to young people and young adults seeking help to tackle their drug and alcohol misuse, using the range of models and methods that have been agreed for use within the Dyfed Young Persons Service.
- The post holder will also conduct triage, risk and comprehensive assessments in order to assess individual needs, identify goals, prepare a support package and to review the programme and outcomes on a regular basis.
- The post holder will carry a small caseload of transitional young people and will work with them to build resilience and recovery capital until the time is right for them to successfully transit into adult services.
- The post holder will also assist in the development and delivery of DYPS training, group-work and structured interventions and to increase links and strategic networking opportunities.
